Whether it’s the Dallas or L.A location, the feeling of discovering new worlds is hard to deny when you step into Tenoversix. Perhaps it’s the idea that the entire store itself is somewhat of a finding, or more than that, it’s contents an uncovering of the hottest interlacing of brands you could imageencountering in any one place.

Founded by Kristen Lee, Brady Cunningham and Joe Cole, the store opened it’s first set of doors on Melrose Avenue, L.A in 2008. Since then they have extended the Tenoversix offering with a second location in Dallas, downtown at The Joule Hotel. The trio are committed to bringing forth a powerfully curated and carefully considered edit of pieces and products to customers against the all-white gallery-style space where only the colourful designs can and do garner the full attention of shoppers.

Bringing to light those who position themselves outside the machine-driven and sometimescreatively diminishing corporate world, the concept store represents an impressive repertoire of up-and-coming indie designers, artists and beauty makers who are at the forefront of design and innovation. Who and what one might find on any given visit is ever changing with the buyers tastes and findings. Along with some already well-established hotshots such as Rachel Comey, Bodkin, Loeffler Randell, VPL, Peter Jensen and own brand TenOverSix, it’s the perfect place to spot something perhaps previously undiscovered and certainly off-the-beaten-track.

“Living with beautiful things” is the founding philosophy, be that in fashion, jewellery, homeware, art, music, books or beauty and it is while refusing the norm and embracing the unexpected that Tenoversix continues to delight as a personal experience and one that nears you closer and closer to the ever evolving wave of niche creatives making their mark.
